Coach AmandaHey! I'm Amanda, a former Police Constable who's returned to my love of fitness coaching. I began Fit to Serve Online Training after realizing that oftentimes fitness is the reason why others don't reach their goal of becoming a First Responder. I also saw, firsthand, that many who are already serving as a First Responder let their fitness and health take a backseat. This shouldn't be so...your life and the lives of others may depend on your fitness!
I am a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Endurance Trainer and CHEK Exercise Coach with over 14 years coaching experience - policing in between! I set the female record for the 2.4 km run while at the Ontario Police College and was recipient of the Claire Shaw Award of Excellence for Physical Fitness while training at the college. Join our Fit to Serve Family and see the reason why we've helped so many achieve success and receive their offer of employment, offer of advancement, and/or are completely fit and confident in their fitness abilities for the job. -Amanda |

Coach JOANNAHello, I'm Joanna!
I retired from the Toronto Police Service in 2019, after 31 years of Service. During my time as a Police Constable, I worked in various different areas of the city, both in an Investigative capacity and also in Community Programs, Traffic, Crime Prevention, School Liaison, and Community Relations. I loved every minute and I cannot imagine a more rewarding career! It wasn't until I decided to become a Police Officer that I discovered the joys of fitness and all its benefits. I started running in order to pass the Fitness Test for the TPS hiring process in the late 1980's and I haven't stopped since! I worked hard to establish various Wellness initiatives within the TPS and became an OACP Fit Pin Appraiser, conducting hundreds of Fit Pin Tests every year, and helping officers and civilian members of TPS achieve their fitness goals and successfully pass their annual fitness tests. I have also participated in the create of the PREP test. I have been a mentor to many new Police Officers, and have worked with aspiring Police Officers to gain the physical strength and endurance required to pass the PREP test. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm about Fitness and Policing with you! -Joanna |
